The sprint launches at the beginning of the week with structured regional targeting and a hard intake ceiling to ensure rigorous evaluation standards.
Operations are structured on a regional cohort model across Nigeria's geopolitical zones (North Central, North West, North East, South West, South East, South South). Only applicants residing within the designated active region qualify for that week's sprint. Entries from non-participating states are automatically filtered out and queued for their upcoming regional cohort.
The weekly business challenge and case breakdown go live every Monday at 07:00 WAT. Each case illustrates a real Nigerian operational dilemma (supply chains, margins, cold-chain distribution, unit economics) with a core underlying business principle to be solved.
The submission portal opens immediately upon release. To ensure rigorous evaluation standards, intake is strictly limited to the first 2,000 completed entries. A real-time intake counter is displayed publicly; once 2,000 entries are logged, the portal automatically closes.
Upon submission, each growth plan generates a Unique Alphanumeric Code (e.g. ABEG-WK14-8K2Q) sent via an automated confirmation email to the candidate, allowing them to monitor verification progress in real time.
From the 2,000 validated intake pool, a transparent digital selection and direct on-site physical due diligence process refines the cohort to 5 verified finalists.
Upon intake closure, data seamlessly migrates into the Selection Engine. On Tuesday, a verified digital draw triggered by human operator action selects 10 Top Candidates live from the 2,000 pool using cryptographic SHA-256 entropy.
10 CANDIDATES SHORTLISTEDAn authorized ABEG field representative conducts direct on-site physical due diligence visits to inspect operational premises, audit equipment and stock, and validate CAC/NIN claims for each of the 10 candidates.
PHYSICAL DUE DILIGENCEFollowing official field verification audit reports, the cohort is refined from 10 down to 5 Validated Finalists who advance to the final evaluation phase.
5 VALIDATED FINALISTSThe 5 finalists present their video pitches, undergo dual-tier merit evaluation, and the winner is declared during a live Sunday broadcast.
The 5 finalists receive a business-specific challenge prompt to produce a 2-minute video presentation detailing their venture's operational viability and line-item strategic plan for deploying the ₦1,000,000 grant.
The winner is determined by the ABEG Merit Model:
• 70% Chartered Judicial Review (Feasibility, Lesson Accuracy, ROI).
• 30% Verified Public Community Vote (1 vote per device strictly enforced from Friday to Saturday 23:59 WAT).
The program winner is declared during a live broadcast on Sunday at 20:00 WAT. The ₦1,000,000 equity-free grant is disbursed directly to fuel immediate business expansion.
On Monday, the winner publishes an official post-award video acknowledging receipt of the grant and recognizing corporate co-sponsors across core digital media channels.
